Questions About Our Firm
Are you open during Covid?
We are looking at guidance from the CDC and Madison County. All visitors are currently required to wear masks in our office. For the upcoming tax season, we are encouraging clients to work with us virtually or drop off their information. If things improve, in-person appointments may be possible.
Do you work with clients virtually?
Yes, we have a secure portal that can be used to upload and download documents and can send tax forms via email that are password-protected.
Do I need an appointment to get my taxes done?
For your first time with us, you need to schedule an appointment. We ask that you bring all tax documents that you think might matter, a copy of the previous year’s tax return, and photo id. Once you are in our system, you have a choice of in-person or drop-off tax service. Most appointments last 30-60 minutes and we ask that you make them ahead of time to guarantee best service.
Where are you located?
We are on Pontoon Road at the intersection with Johnson Road in Granite City, across from St. Elizabeth’s church. We have a handicapped-accessible ramp and have been at the same location for 64 years.
How many preparers do you have?
We have three well-trained tax preparers, Dan Connors, Brian Johnson, and Lana Randolph. All have been doing taxes for over 10 years, are members of the National Association of Tax Professionals, and are trained regularly in new tax laws.
Are you open all year?
Yes, but with reduced hours during the off-season. We are available all year to help with IRS and Illinois DOR letters, tax planning, and general tax questions, and are glad to help clients beyond tax season.
